Did you know that you should wash and clean your bed and mattress regularly to extend the lifespan of your bed? When you invest in a new quality bed to get a better night’s sleep, you also want it to last as long as possible. Here are three simple tips for sleeping comfort that lasts. Good for you and good for the environment.
1. Wash the bed textiles at 60°C
Wonderland’s beds have removable and washable textiles – even the textile covers on some of the headboards. All removable textiles can be washed at 60°C. In the video below you can see how you easily wash our textiles.
This is why the bed textiles are washed at 60°C
We all have dust mites in our homes and dust mites thrive particularly well in the bedroom. To get rid of dust mites, it is important that your bed textiles can be washed at 60°C. We therefore place extra high demands on the textiles we choose to give you a clean and healthy sleeping environment for many years.
This is how you do it
Wash your textiles at home with a small amount of washing powder, a gentle spin cycle and hang drying – it’s easy!
2. Vacuum your mattress regularly
It is easy to forget to also clean the bed regularly.
The easiest and often the most effective way to keep your mattress clean and dust-free, is simply to vacuum it a couple of times every year.
With Wonderland’s adjustable hip zone, you can adjust the firmness to your personal needs. This will provide calmer sleep with better sleep quality and recovery.
If you prefer to sleep on you side, it is important that you spine is as straight as possible. With the adjustable hip zone, you can adjust how deep your hip sink into the mattress, in comparison with your shoulder. When the firmness suits you, your hip should get the correct support and your spine will be straight.
How to adjust the firmness
The adjustments for the hip zone you find underneath the bed. You can adjust the firmness during assembling or from underneath the bed when the bed is already assembled.
Softer
Place the sliders towards the middle. The bed gets softer and your hip will sink further down.
Firmer
Place the sliders towards the edges. The bed gets firmer and your hip will be placed further up.

Developing products with a long lifespan is one of the most important sustainability principles. This contributes to reduce our environmental footprint and provides quality and comfort that lasts.
Our tests show that the materials’ ability to provide good pressure relief, moisture transport and ventilation are the most important material features to ensure the same high level of sleeping comfort over a long period of time.
In addition, the materials must be able to withstand continuous heat changes in order for the bed to provide the same high level of comfort for many years.
This is what our customers say
In Wonderland’s customer survey from 2022/2023 with over 3,000 participants, we find that our customers prioritise long lifespan and washable textiles as the most important features when it comes to beds and sustainability.
